Blenheim Palace – Roof Renovation Telecoms Relocation

Blenheim Palace is currently undergoing a multi-year renovation of the Great Hall roof. As part of these works, NETCS was engaged by the Palace, working in close collaboration with Vodafone, to relocate two existing antenna and RF equipment arrays from the roof to alternative positions.

Following detailed site surveys and close liaison with the Palace’s Clerk of Works, suitable new locations were identified and agreed. Due to the reduced height and revised positioning of the northern array, its configuration was enhanced from two antennas to four, ensuring continued performance and coverage across the required areas.

Careful planning and coordination were critical to minimise disruption, particularly around the Palace’s operational requirements during the half-term holiday period. The works were delivered successfully within the required timeframe, maintaining service continuity throughout.

As a result of the redesign and optimisation, the project achieved a slight improvement in overall coverage compared to the original installation.
